How HP Multi Jet Fusion Works
HP Multi Jet Fusion builds parts layer by layer using fine nylon powder, fusing agents, and infrared energy. Unlike laser based systems that trace each feature individually, MJF applies energy across the full build area at once. This allows faster production speeds, more consistent thermal control, and highly repeatable mechanical properties.
Each layer is approximately 80 microns thick. Unfused powder supports the part during printing, eliminating the need for support structures and allowing complex internal geometries.
